Now Is The Appointed Time

At the appointed time, a humble caterpillar begins its sacred task. It spins a delicate web of silk and encases itself in a cocoon, a vessel of transformation ordained by its Creator. Within that hidden chamber, the caterpillar undergoes a profound change, becoming something it never was before.

When the moment arrives, it emerges—a creature renewed. The crawling caterpillar is gone; in its place is a butterfly with vibrant wings, ready to soar. The transformation is undeniable, but it wasn’t instantaneous. It took time, patience, and the Creator’s perfect design.

In the same way, our transformation—spiritual or personal—does not occur overnight. You cannot abandon old habits and wrongs in an instant. However, every journey begins with a first step, and the Scriptures remind us that “now is the acceptable time” to start.

As 2 Corinthians 5:17 declares:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

But here’s the question: Are you truly new, or is your change only skin-deep? A fresh coat of paint can cover damage for a while, but as the paint fades, the underlying flaws become visible. True transformation goes beyond appearances; it reaches into the core of who we are.

Teaching plays a vital role in shaping us. If you are taught wrongly, you will emerge with flawed beliefs and behaviors. If taught correctly, you can grow into the person you were meant to be. It is pointless to attend church week after week and remain unchanged. Ask yourself: What am I learning? Is it leading me toward growth and holiness, or am I simply going through the motions?

Time is short, and the return of Christ draws nearer every day. Many will be found unprepared—lukewarm, undecided, and incomplete in their transformation. Hebrews 12:14 warns us:
“Pursue peace with everyone, and holiness—without it, no one will see the Lord.”

Friends, the call is urgent. The time to change is not tomorrow or someday—it is now. Begin the work of transformation today. Start striving for holiness now, because salvation is at hand.
As 2 Corinthians 6:2 reminds us:
“For he says, ‘In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.’ I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.”

Let us not delay. Fear God, keep His commandments, and live a life worthy of His calling. For one day, every work—whether seen or hidden, good or evil—will be brought into judgment. Let today mark the beginning of your journey toward true transformation.
