I Know You

Psalms 139:1-4

1 O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.

2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.

3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.

4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.

These passages underscore God’s intimate knowledge of our hearts and the importance of living authentically before Him: To mean, nothing you do, plan to do or will do can take God by surprise.

Before you were born, God knew you.

Before your parents even met, God knew you.

Even before the heavens and the earth were made, God knew you.

Jeremiah 1:5

5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

God knows ALL THINGS including those done in secret. Nobody, however smart, rich, famous or “holy” can get around God.

Everything that happens in the world, God already knew what would take place.

God even knows things about you that you don’t know about yourself.

Before He even said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.” He had seen the floods come and cause havoc in the year 2024.

God saw someone marching in prison even before that prison was built.

God saw someone backslide even before they joined the faith.

God knows even the day we will die, where we will die & how we will die.

Before He said, “…Let us make man in our image, after our likeness,” God  knew Adam and Eve would sin.

God knows how rich or poor you are.

God knows how much pain or struggles you go through.

God knows what you need the most at each moment.

He knows the ending of a thing even before it begins. God knows everything…

To prove He knows those that are going to be saved, He says; “He knows them that are His.”

2 Timothy 2:19

19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Are you of the fold of Christ?

What would you want to be known for?

If God was to read your records today, what would you want to be said?

Because of free will, we are allowed to choose from good and evil.

Unfortunately most people are double minded. We choose when to be good depending on circumstances.

James 1:8

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways

1 Samuel 16:7

The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

Hebrews 4:13

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Jeremiah 17:10

I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.

These scriptures affirm that God sees beyond outward appearances and understands our innermost thoughts and intentions. Therefore, pretending or putting on a facade is meaningless before Him. Instead, believers are encouraged to live truthfully and transparently, knowing that God values sincerity and integrity.

Stop with the pretense because the Lord God knows you. If you are of God, take your stand and be of God, and if you want to be of the devil then go ahead and please your master.

John 8:45-47

45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

We all know as Christians that we ought to walk in the ways of God; the straight and narrow path.

Unfortunately we don’t want to accept how lost, dirty and weak we are. We fail to understand that if we accept the way we are then and ONLY THEN can improvement apply.

For whoever loves instruction and loves correction is wise, but he who hates to be rectified is foolish.

Get rid of your pride, self righteousness, arrogance and follow Scripture.

Forget about how bad it sounds or looks. If you are in whatever bad Condition, God is ready to fix you!

Having known us, let us also live a life full of gratitude and contentment for the Lord our God gives according to His Grace and Mercy.

Jeremiah 29:11

11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD,“ plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Isaiah 43:1

But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

Matthew 10:30

And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

Hebrews 4:13

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

These passages convey the idea that God is fully aware of every aspect of our lives, thoughts, and actions. This knowledge is not just general but deeply personal, signifying God’s close involvement and care in the lives of individuals. This concept provides comfort to us, knowing that God understands us completely and cares for us intimately.

“…hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” 🙏🏽
