Fear Not

God's reassurance not to fear anything is a profound and recurring theme throughout the scriptures, where His omnipresence and omnipotence offer a profound sense of peace and security. In passages like Isaiah 41:10, where God declares, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God," He underscores His commitment to support and strengthen His followers in all circumstances. This divine assurance is meant to remind believers that no matter the trials and tribulations they face, they are never alone, and God's infinite power and love will guide and protect them, dispelling fear and fostering an unwavering trust in His divine plan.

What shall I fear?

Death?

Psalm 23:4

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Judgement?

Deuteronomy 1:17

You shall not show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small and the great alike. You shall not fear man, for the judgment is God’s. The case that is too hard for you, you shall bring to me, and I will hear it

Darkness?

Psalm 91:5-7

5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

The future?

Matthew 6:34

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof

Separation?

Psalm 34:18

18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Satan?

Luke 10:18-19

18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Pain?

James 1:2-3

2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

Man?

Matthew 10:28

28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

I am more convinced by the day that God has my back and I need not to worry. God’s presence has been a constant source of strength, guidance, and protection, providing me with the confidence and peace of mind to navigate life’s uncertainties and adversities with faith and trust.

“…hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” 🙏🏽
