I Have A Glass
Every day I see the things I used to do that I can’t do no more and it’s kinda frustrating because it’s made me ask for help almost all the time. The words, “please help me” have become so common just because I can’t make it on my own.
My heart ain’t fully healed. I won’t lie about that. I’m still in the process of understanding and coping with the situation.
Either way, I appreciate life as it is. It’s not that the glass is half empty or half full; I’m just grateful I have a glass.
My dream is to make a statement or leave a footprint on this world before I exit. And this gift of a second chance at life might just be the opportunity. This is me trying to make lemonade out of lemons. And to those who believe in me, I’m going to make you proud one day.
My perspective at life is changing and I look at it this way. This condition of mine may just be an opportunity for me to share my story with the world and impact, inspire, encourage and also make a difference.
And the biggest question I ask myself is, “if I had a chance to go back to whom I was, would I take it up?” Maybe, maybe not. I’m really not sure...
Because I realized that after my accident I’m a different person who’s constantly changing for the better and the fact that I was given another chance at life, Im using it wisely.
I’ll encourage you to Stop focusing on what you can’t do vs what you can do. Chin up and do whatever you can do over and over again and great things will happen.
As for me, I’m going to live my life to the best of my ability understanding and accepting that I was given a gift and not a curse and so help me God!
The reality of life is that we always do have a choice, to think positively or negatively.
The choice is yours...
Psalms 84:5-7
5What joy for those whose strength comes from the Lord,
who have set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
6When they walk through the Valley of Weeping,
it will become a place of refreshing springs.
The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings.

Amen. TO GOD BE THE GLORY. Those moments we say change the perspective not the environment and you may soar higher than the highest in a place where people are barely getting off the ground. Go on bro.

ReplyDeleteIt's not easy Mike but this requires a deep understanding and belief in God. Some of us would have thrown the towel, cursed God, asked so many questions about His existence and the so called love He claim to have towards us. I admire the strong belief and trust you have in Him. Continue with that same zeal and positive living because I know that you won't be in this position permanently. Things are gonna be better some day. May God heal you, provide for you and your family and richly bless you.
