It Will Change

They plotted to kill him, threw him in a pit and later sold him as a slave. Years passed and impressed by Joseph’s wisdom, Pharaoh appointed him as his viceroy, second only to the king himself, and tasked him with readying the nation for the years of famine. The very brothers that plotted to kill him and even sold him, knelt before him and he showed them compassion.

His children died, his cattle and all property were lost, he became sick with boils and sores all over his body. And the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys. He had seven sons and three daughters. And he called the name of the first [daughter] Jemimah, and the name of the second Keziah, and the name of the third Keren-happuch. In all the land there were found no women so fair as the daughters of Job; and their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers. After this, Job lived 140 years, and saw his sons and his grandsons, four generations.

They roughed her up, hurling insults at her forgetting and excluding the man she was caught with. When she was brought to Jesus awaiting sentence, Jesus asked, “Who amongst you has not committed sin?” As he wrote on the ground, They all fled one by one. Jesus forgave her.

He was crippled for thirty eight years and was waiting for someone just to push him in the water when it stirred.Jesus saw him and felt compassion and said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.

He was beaten, mugged by robbers and even “the men of God” didn’t offer help as he lay on the ground. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him.

They beat him up, mocked him and finally gorged out his eyes. And Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines!” And he pushed outwards powerfully, so that the house fell on the governors and all the people who were in it. And the dead whom he killed at his death were more than those whom he killed during his lifetime.

He left home a rich man; lived life big and after squandering all he had, he suffered and even ate with pigs. When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

He was tired and hopeless. And Simon answering said to him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at your word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net broke.

They spat on Him, whipped Him, abused Him, pierced Him and finally nailed Him to the cross.

Three days went by and he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
