Prison Break

Everyone, if not most of us have a past that somehow we ain't proud of and at times it gets to haunt us. Memories flash from time and again reminding us of the bones once buried. These are the prisons, cages and traps that the devil has laid out for us.

I'm no special, I fight my demons every now and again. I've got a huge load that I keep on carrying: a reminder of my past, and it's wearing me out.

Temptations and the likehood of falling back linger in the air. Its just like the forbidden fruit that Adam and Eve were told not to partake but was just placed right in the middle of the garden in a way asking to be eaten. At times I think to myself with my sinful and human nature and see no blame in Adam and Eve... the temptation was way too great for them to avoid. And to add to it, the cunning devil had to add more confusion to entice them...

Someone once said, when you see men fall, do not laugh, learn!!
The things that tip men to fall are always everywhere set up for all of us. We are not free from the temptations or from the weakness that cause others to fall. We are all sinners and he/she who claims not to be a sinner is a liar.

Our Heavenly Father is a God who forgives sin. Sin that if repented is blotted out from our records never to be remembered again.

Are you struggling to forgive yourself?
Or might you be wondering if Christ can forgive You?

Hebrews 8:11
For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

My encouragement today is that we all seek time In the presence of God and ask for peace of mind and forgiveness. Remember always that our Lord does not dwell on our past mistakes but seeks for the good in our present and future.
Our past wrongs may be difficult to forget but what is it that The Lord cannot do, Trust Him.
Free yourself from the prison and cages of the devil. If he reminds you of the past, remind him of his future. Brethren this is a war we must win!!

Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.

  1. Without the burden of afflictions it is impossible to reach the height of grace. The gift of grace increases as the struggle increases. The secret of happiness is to live moment by moment and to thank God for all that He, in His goodness, sends to us day after day.
