Thank God Always

Thank God even for the things that are still yet to come.

The above statement reminds me of Jesus' prayer at the tomb of Lazarus. He prayed knowing Lazarus was dead, four days in the tomb and still gave thanks knowing he would rise again.

John 11: 40-44
Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

Expectation is all about having hope that something is going to happen. For example, when we go to sleep, the expectation is that we will wake up in the morning. Reality is that it might or might not happen.
But all the same, we expect to wake up.

Mark 11:24
Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.

Jesus says that if we believe, we have received. Notice that it says, "We have recieved" and Not "We will recieve." The phrase is in past tense; this means it's been done for us already.

Christ implores Christians that as soon as He hears our prayers He begins to work on them and grant us our requests. And therefore we are to have faith and hope.

Even if God is to answer our prayers in whatever way, we are to accept that answer.

I know this is incredibly difficult because human beings have the tendency of seeing to believe. But I want to encourage you today that try hard to believe, thank God for the things you have prayed for and wait patiently for the answer.

Pray and believe that Covid19 is just a dark cloud that is passing by, pray and believe that God Has granted you good health, pray and believe that God Has already blessed your womb, your marriage, your relationship. Pray and believe God Has already granted you that job you dearly search, your daily provisions, the partner you wish for...
Pray and Believe! Thank God in prayer even before we receive our answers.

And remeber that God's timing is always the best and His ways are not our ways.

John 14:13-14
Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.

If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough.
{Meister Eckhart}
