Our Convenient God

DO NOT BOTHER GOD IN THE TIMES OF YOUR TROUBLES IF HE CALLED YOU EARLIER AND YOU REFUSED HIM. CONSIDER ALWAYS THAT HE MAY REFUSE TO LISTEN AND ANSWER YOUR PRAYERS.

God is a jealous God and does not like to be used and dumped. He also never wants to share His glory with another. Unfortunately, using and dumping is in the heart of man. We do not want to commit to the Lord. We want to have one foot in the world and the other foot in Christ (Double minded). We want to enjoy the world and also seek blessings from God. 

In God, there is no striding along the fence. You are either in or out. In the walk of holiness, the flesh cannot be pleased and given freedom. The flesh is crucified with Christ and governed by Scripture. 

Jasher 6:21-23
21 And they said to Noah, We are ready to return to the Lord; only open for us that we may live and not die 
22 And Noah answered them, saying, Behold now that you see the trouble of your souls, you wish to return to the Lord; why did you not return during these hundred and twenty years, which the Lord granted you as the determined period? 
23 But now you come and tell me this on account of the troubles of your souls, now also the Lord will not listen to you, neither will he give ear to you on this day, so that you will not now succeed in your wishes.

Our long suffering God is continuously knocking on the doors of our hearts that we may be saved but unfortunately, we have denied him, turned our backs on Him. 

Humanity has not realized that every moment we wake up, its God giving us another chance to come back to Him. 

Just as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be when Christ returns. After the rain started to pour, and the men and women realized that the rain wasn't stopping, panick gripped their hearts and they cried out to Noah repenting and begging to be opened for.

Noah reminded them that he had preached 120 years, warning them of the distraction of earth by floods and they ignored, refused, and made mockery of the warnings from God.

Grace will not abound forever. 

Turn back to God while there is still a chance. 

Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and seek the Holy Ghost as you walk in Christ teachings daily.
