Prayer

Imagine how the devil swayed a third of the angels and they took his side. Imagine the power he has over mere men who don’t submit to the Word of God.

That’s why today I’m humbly reminding us all to turn back to Bible and pray.

Romans 12:12 tells us, “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” These words remind us of the steady power found in a life rooted in communion with God.

I've often pondered the power of tragedy, loneliness, and pain—the way these things transform us and draw us into a private, sacred communion with God. Prayer, I've come to see, is a holy conversation between the soul and its Creator. I must confess, I wasn’t always a prayerful person. My prayers came in times of crisis, in moments when life humbled me, and once the storm passed, I let my connection fade. I was like a child who forgot his parent after being granted his wish.

But now, I'm learning to pray. I’m learning to speak to God. In the quiet, I've become more introspective and solitary, reflecting on the journey of my life. I've realized that God is wise, merciful, and listens to our prayers, responding in His own perfect timing.

The peace I feel when I pray is beyond anything else. Though the world may judge, I know God listens, always whispering, “Come, let us reason together.” Many of us feel a deep hunger, a famine within, that only the Holy Spirit can fill. Acts 5:32 tells us, “We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him.”

Every day brings new lessons. A soul that hungers after God isn’t concerned with outward appearances. As it says in Psalm 119:145-147: “I cry out with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord! I will keep Your statutes. I cry to You; save me, and I shall keep Your testimonies. I rise before the dawn and cry for help; I hope in Your word.” Cry out to the Lord.

Are you truly seeking Him with all your heart? Psalm 119:149 reminds us: “Hear my voice according to Your lovingkindness; O Lord, revive me according to Your judgment.” I've come to understand that God is always near; it's we who choose to distance ourselves from Him. The Holy Spirit is a promise to us, to our children, and to all whom the Lord calls.

We are urged to seek God while He may be found, to call on Him while He is near, for a time will come when that opportunity fades. Even when we feel weary, defeated, or like giving up, I encourage you to hold on. Persist in prayer, seek God’s face at all times. For He has promised, as stated in Isaiah 40:29-31: “He gives power to the faint, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

And when you pray tonight remember 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong."

Pray and seek for the Holy Ghost!! ๐Ÿ™
