Love
What is love?
Is it a feeling or emotions, is it an act or behavior? How do you express love?
John 9:3-7
3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.(E) 4 As long as it is day,(F) we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”(G)
6 After saying this, he spit(H) on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. 7 “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam”(I) (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.(J)
Mark 7:32-37
32 And they brought to him (D)a man who was deaf and (E)had a speech impediment, and they begged him to (F)lay his hand on him. 33 And (G)taking him aside from the crowd privately, he put his fingers into his ears, and (H)after spitting touched his tongue. 34 And (I)looking up to heaven, (J)he sighed and said to him, “Ephphatha,” that is, “Be opened.” 35 (K)And his ears were opened, his tongue was released, and he spoke plainly. 36 And (L)Jesus[a] charged them to tell no one. But (M)the more he charged them, the more zealously they proclaimed it. 37 And they were (N)astonished beyond measure, saying, “He has done all things well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”
Matthew 9:2-8
2 Some people soon brought to him a crippled man lying on a mat. When Jesus saw how much faith they had, he said to the crippled man, “My friend, don’t worry! Your sins are forgiven.”
3 Some teachers of the Law of Moses said to themselves, “Jesus must think he is God!”
4 But Jesus knew what was in their minds, and he said, “Why are you thinking such evil things? 5 Is it easier for me to tell this crippled man that his sins are forgiven or to tell him to get up and walk? 6 But I will show you that the Son of Man has the right to forgive sins here on earth.” So Jesus said to the man, “Get up! Pick up your mat and go on home.” 7 The man got up and went home. 8 When the crowds saw this, they were afraid[b] and praised God for giving such authority to people.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Love is magical.
It’s a language the deaf can hear, a song the crippled can dance to and a sunset the blind can see.
Love is complex.
A mix of emotions, behaviors, and beliefs associated with strong feelings of affection, protectiveness, warmth, and respect for another person.
Brethren, Love heals. Love mends the broken hearts and restores bad relationships. Love unites. Everyone is in need of love.
Jesus has so much love and compassion for us.
Love unconditionally!!
