Troubles
When we land in trouble, we get into situations that we don’t understand, situations that we are unqualified for, unskilled, outclassed and outmatched but there is always a reason.
If Joseph wasn’t rejected by his brothers and sold as a slave, would he have known that God would lift him up and make him one of the most powerful men in history?
If the woman with the issue of blood hadn’t suffered for so long, would she have known that God is a healer?
If Paul wasn’t made blind, would he have known that God can give sight?
If the 10 lepers hadn’t been healed, how would they have understood rejection and acceptance?
If Mary Magdalene wasn’t a sinner, would she have known that God forgives sin?
If Job wasn’t afflicted with diseases and poverty, would he/we have known that God is The Provider and Restorer?
If Jesus didn’t die on the cross, would we have known that He can conquer death and is The Son of God?
You are remembered by what you survived.
How do you trust a person that has never been through any storm?
A calm sea never produced a good sailor.
How do we know Moses? Pharaoh
How do we know Samson? The Philistines
How do you know David? Goliath
How do you know Daniel? The pit
How do we know Jesus? The cross
All these people had troubles, but their troubles were blessings. To them because they overcame the troubles and to others because it remains a testimony.
And the thing is, for some of us it takes trouble to move us into the right direction. It takes trouble for some of us to see clearly, to get on our knees and pray.
Whatever it is you are going through, in the midst of your headache and struggles believe that this too shall pass.
All troubles lead to the Glory of Heaven.
Pray that should your problems be storms, that God gives you the faith that He calms all raging storms.
Should your problems be as huge as Goliath, May The Lord give you the faith to believe that His power defeats every giant.
Should your test be as big as a mountain, may The Lord give you the strength to know that He can level that mountain.
Psalms 55: 5-8, 16-22
5Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
6 And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
7 Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.
8 I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.
16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.
17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
18 He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.
19 God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.
20 He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.
21 The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.
22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
