Time is short

Time is short!

What is your life? It’s like a vapor that appears for a little while then vanishes away. 

If someone had told me that life was short when I was a teenager, I wouldn’t have believed it.

Life is brief and it quickly passes.

Every one of us has been given the same amount of time in a day. What a thing it is to imagine that you have a short life to spend and soon it will be over.

I’d write down my priorities in life and I’d get committed to certain priorities.

The things we ought to do, the classes we ought to take, the books we ought to read, do it now. The family that needs you, spend more time with them now. Write that letter home now, money you ought to give, give now. Time for study, do it now. People you ought to witness to, do it now. For those who need love, love them now.

Every time the clock ticks, it seems to say, DO IT NOW!! There may not be a tomorrow for you and for me. There is a warning to time; time is running out for all of us. Many people sleep with plans and hopes for the next day but fail to wake up in the morning. 

Time is too short for indecision and vacillation.

Fools say that time is long.

Every day we have 24 hours to spend and to invest. If you fail to use the days deposits and givings, the loss is yours. 

It’s the quality of life and not the length.

I pray that we invest the little time we have in The Kingdom of God.

James 4:13-15

13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”

14 yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. 

15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”

Ephesians 5:-5-17

15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 

16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. 

17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
