The sands of time have shifted once more, marking the passing of another year, another battle fought, another victory won. Today, I stand, not by my own might, but by the boundless mercy of the Almighty.

Had it not been for the Lord—oh, where would I be? 

The Psalmist captures it best in the sacred words of Psalms 124:

"If it had not been the Lord who was on our side—let all of Israel declare it!—when the enemy rose like a tempest against us, when the fury of men sought to consume us, we would have been devoured in an instant. The raging waters would have drowned our souls, the torrents of destruction would have swept us away. But blessed be the Lord! He has not allowed us to fall into the jaws of our foes. Like a bird escaping the hunter’s snare, we are free—the trap is shattered, and we have fled! Our help is in the name of the Lord, the very One who fashioned the heavens and the earth!"

With this breath in my lungs, I ask for nothing but the infilling of the Holy Ghost, the unshakable strength to walk in the path of the apostles' doctrine, and the endurance to hold fast until the glorious day my Savior returns for me.

To the King Eternal, the Almighty God—be all the glory, now and forever!
