Not Made For Earth

I can’t be still.

My mind keeps pacing to and fro every other minute. I’m Thinking of the past. The things I ought to have done better, the things I could do, the things I wish to change, the moments I wish I cherished more.

My mind is not settled.

Im thinking of the present. Is it worth the struggle? What’s the purpose of all these? Am I making use of each and every minute, are there any mistakes done that I may regret in the future?

I’m worried.

I think of the future. How is my tomorrow going to be like? How old would I live to be and whom will I share it with? How will I get the most out of it? Will I be successful and what impact will I have been on others?

A wise man once said, “If you can’t fix it, then why worry about it?”

It will not make a difference, Carry on.

Unhappiness on earth cultivates our hunger for Heaven. By gracing up with a deep dissatisfaction, God holds our attention. The only tragedy then, is to be satisfied prematurely. To settle for earth. To be content in a strange land.

We are not happy and settled here because we are not home here. We are like foreigners and strangers in this world. You will never be completely happy on earth because you were not made for earth. You will have moments of joy but they do not compare to the happiness that lies ahead.

God tailored our hearts for Himself and they will forever be restless until we find rest in Him!

With all the pains, worries and stress’ of the world, I’m wishing you peace and contentment.

Take it easy, be still and Leave it to God.
