The End Draweth Nigh
It was mid morning when the man of God came visiting. A soft spoken old man whose words were sweet to the ear. The old man spoke with such a soft humble tone that immediately lit a smile on my face despite having a not so beautiful morning.
He removed his cap and asked us to pray. I closed my eyes awaiting to be lifted to heaven. I had so much faith in the words of this old man even before he uttered the first word. Heaven was closer this morning...
The prayer was sincerely uplifting and a few words got stuck in my mind. In his prayer he said, "Dear Lord, allow us to sing a different song. Allow us to pray a different prayer. Do something a-new in our lives; in the life of our son. We have been praying for a long time now, The same prayer day in, day out. Lord God your ears or eyes ain't deaf or dumb to hear or see the afflictions that have befallen us. Father God, allow us to sing a new tune."
I was touched by this prayer. The words were so powerful and sounded like no ordinary prayer. It sounded like a one on one conversation with God. I wish I could put the feelings I felt in writing.
God has clearly stated that there is a time for everything.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
I still want to echo that no matter the sufferings, they shall one day also come to an end. And so as the old man pleaded with God for a different prayer, so should we.
ISAIAH 59:1 Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear.
Surely He who formed the body from the dust of the earth is able to make minor adjustments or major for that matter.
He who created The heavens and the earth and all that is within it can and is able to provide our provisions in abundance.
Stay courageous and believe in a new dawn. Soon and very Soon, we shall sing a new song. The ends to our sufferings draweth nigh.
Amen and amen . Very inspiring.
